When you decide to buy an engagement ring, the choice can be complex if you don’t have clear ideas or don’t know the world of rings.
Inside our goldsmith’s workshop we create mounting for engagement on a daily basis: some are created ad hoc upon customer request, while others are our creations.
The first thing you do when you decide to buy a solitaire is to choose the stone, the protagonist of the ring. Regarding this topic, if you want to learn more click here and you will find all the useful information on the diamond.
Which mouting to choose for the engagement?
- 6 prongs engagement ring
The first mounting we show you is a classic, recently very popular. The shank is simple and the diamond is enclosed in a very thin 6 prongs, thus giving the stone the opportunity to stand out.
With this type of mounting, the diamond will maintain its round shape. It is a type of mounting suitable for both small and large stones.
- 4 prongs hugging mounting
Another mounting that we recommend is a 4 prongs one with a stem that hugs the stone. In this case the caston is positioned at the point.
If you want to embellish it, you can insert small diamonds on the stem which will give further brilliance.
- 4 prongs mounting
With this type of solitaire mounting, the stone is supported by 4 prongs arranged in such a way as to make the diamond square. We can say it is the most classic type of solitaire mounting.
It can be made in several variations depending on the thickness of the stem and the rounder or more squared effect of the stem. Furthermore, the mounting containing the diamond can be higher or lower than the mounting, depending on taste.
- Mounting with diamond outline
For those who want something more precious and important, we recommend this simple but fashionable and trendy model.
An outline of diamonds will further embellish your ring, making the central stone appear larger and brighter.
