Colored gemstones precious
One of the colored gemstones precious, increasingly appreciated and in demand, is the paraiba tourmaline. Recently discovered in Brazil, this brilliant water-green stone is one of the rarest in the world.

The name of the rubellite stone derives from the Latin “rubellus” which means reddish and from the Greek “lithos” or stone, and is considered the most valuable variety of tourmaline, due to its very intense purplish red colour.

- Moonstone
Moonstone is a variety of adularia used in ancient times to capture lunar energy. Popular beliefs said that this stone originated from the moonbeams that hit the rock. It is characterized by a slight opalescence with bluish white and silvery white reflections similar to moonlight.

- Spessartite
Spessartite is considered a semi-precious stone, less known than the others used in jewelry, but with a particular color that varies from brown to orange. It is a garnet with a tangerine orange color, and its most sought after and appreciated variety has a color reminiscent of Fanta and for this reason it is called Fanta Colour.

Semi-precious stone, morganite belongs to the beryl family, the same to which aquamarine and emerald belong. The stone is characterized by a very delicate light pink color with a hint of orange, ranging from salmon to peach.

- Kunzite
Discovered in 1902 by the then chief jeweler of Tiffany & Co. from which it also takes its name. Kunzite stone is a variety of spodumene that is pink in color with a hint of purple.

- Tsavorite
It belongs to the garnet family and takes its name from the Tsavo National Park in Kenya, where it was first discovered. The color varies from pale green to intense green and in large sizes it is quite rare.

- Tanzanite
Recently discovered, tanzanite is a rare stone, much more so than diamonds, because there is only one deposit in the world on the slope of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The most valuable gems are those with an intense and brilliant blue color, without inclusions.
