Revitalizing Old Jewelry: How to Give Them New Life
Have you ever heard of solitaire diamond jewels?
Do not worry .. in this article we will explain to you what solitaire diamonds jewels are!
Solitaire diamond jewel mean a jewel that at the center contains a single diamond that obviously gives off all the light.
Solitaire diamond jewels are characterized by the fact that they have a unique gem. They should not in fact be confused with illusion setting diamonds. The latter, if in appearance or with a quick glance may seem very similar, they are actually completely different. I Illusion setting diamonds are in fact a set of many very small diamonds. Seen from afar, they give the illusion of being a unique diamond. But be careful, because in reality they are not. In fact, for the same size their price is infinitely lower.
With solitaire diamond jewels we usually mean:
- solitaire diamond earrings: the single lobe diamonds mounted in an essential way with a bezel with the four gold pins that holds the diamond, so as to leave it free to shine to the maximum
- solitaire diamond pendant or necklace: which consists of a thin chain, usually in white gold with only a cetral diamond, also in this case mounted with a simple gold bezel that holds it.
Point of light jewels are perfect gift ideas for important occasions such as a wedding, an anniversary or a special birthday, such as 18 years. They are also perfect as gifts for baptisms, communions and confirmations, as being very classic, they do not mark fashions and last over time.
Obviously, in all solitaire diamond jewels, what makes the difference is the size of the diamond and its characteristics.
In fact, there are both earrings and pendant with very small solitaire diamond up to very important dimensions.
At Virano Gioielli you will find a vast assortment of loose diamonds found directly on the Antwerp stock exchange at competitive prices. We will show you the different characteristics and together we will find the stones that best suit your needs.
Here’s what you need to know to buy a solitaire diamond
First of all you will need to start from the budget at your disposal.
The diamond is one of the most precious minerals in the world, and if chosen well it can also become an economic and financial investment that could also revalue over time.
If you are at the first experience and you want to buy a diamond, you need to know some basic things.
All diamonds are classified according to the 4 Cs:
- cut
- colour
- clarity
- carat weight
According to your budget, we will try to suggest you by proposing different alternatives in order to evaluate together the best compromise between good stone size, color and purity, for the budget you have decided to allocate.
Obviously, once you have compared some diamonds or the same price, you will have to choose the one that best corresponds to your needs. There are those who prefer size compared to purity or those who prefer color compared to size. Our job, in addition to offering you diamonds, is to advise you on the right compromise once you have heard your needs.
Once the indicative size has been identified, we will evaluate with you whether to choose a stone that is a little smaller but with a higher color or purity or vice versa. Color is rated on a scale ranging from D (maximum) to Z (minimum, very yellow). To evaluate the color you need to analyze the stones on a white card. Purity instead includes these classes, from the purest to the least pure:
- IF Internally flawless
- VVS1, VVS2 Very very small inclusions
- VS1 VS2 Very small inclusions
- SI1 SI2 SI3 Small inclusions
- I1 I2 I3 Piquè
Once you have chosen the diamond or diamonds, they will be mounted in a few days as earrings or a solitaire diamond necklace or pendant. As for the earrings, the choice of stones with similar characteristics is very important.
