Revitalizing Old Jewelry: How to Give Them New Life
Do you need to buy a diamond solitaire ring?
If this is your first time you buy a diamond solitaire ring but you don’t know anything about it,
Here it is a guide to buying a perfect diamond solitaire ring for your needs.
A diamond solitaire ring or a simple diamond can be purchased either for engagement or as an investment of a part of one’s assets.
The DIAMOND is one of the most precious minerals in the world, and if chosen well it can also become an economic and financial investment that could also revalue over time.
If you are at the first experience, you have decided to get married or in any case you want to buy a diamond, you need to know some basic things.
All diamonds are classified according to the 4 C’s:
- cut
- color
- clarity
- carat weight
According to your budget, we will try to advise you by proposing different alternatives in order to evaluate together the best compromise between good stone size, color and purity, for the budget you have decided to allocate.
Obviously once you compare a few
diamonds at the same price, you will have to choose the one that best matches your needs. There are those who prefer size to the detriment of purity or those who prefer color to the detriment of size. Our job, in addition to offering you diamonds, is to advise you on the right compromise once we have heard your needs.
Once the indicative size has been identified, we will evaluate with you whether to choose a slightly smaller stone but with a greater color or purity or vice versa. Color is rated on a scale ranging from D (maximum) to Z (minimum, very yellow). To evaluate the color you need to analyze the stones on a white card. Purity instead includes these classes, from the purest to the least pure:
- IF Internally flawless
- VVS1, VVS2 Very very small inclusions
- VS1 VS2 Very small inclusions
- SI1 SI2 SI3 Small inclusions
- I1 I2 I3 Piquè
Once you have chosen the diamond, we will propose different settings or we will create the one you have imagined.
All our rings are “tailor made”, that is, made to measure for our customers, made in our goldsmith workshop in Turin.
When you come to visit us, in our VIRANO GIOIELLI boutique in via Giolitti 7 bis in Turin, we will show you a vast assortment of loose diamonds. We will also show you various models of solitaire diamond rings already mounted, to give you an idea of the different possible settings. But then it’s up to you to find and choose the perfect combination of stone and setting. Last thing, especially for stones over 0.30 carats, make sure they are always accompanied by a guarantee certificate issued by one of the main gemological institutes in the world. The main ones are HRD IGI GIA.
